Our bread baking began in 1983 in the home of Becky Spoelstra
and was originally baked solely for friends and family. Originally we only baked
sourdough bread, but over the years we have come up with a mixture for cinnamon
sourdough bread that is just as delicious as the original. In 1994 the name
"BeckyBread" was coined by two year old Sarah Sutton Baker and our company
officially began.
Under our new name, we began selling our bread to several
local convenience stores for use in fresh made sandwiches. Through the years
we have remained a small bread company, providing sourdough bread to local stores
and shops, as well as our friends and family. Today, we continue to bake our breads
from our home in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Note: Our kitchen has been fully inspected and approved by the state of North Carolina.
